type of diseases, the scientist jobs are to use sophisticated microscope
or electronic counters. If you want to build Clinical Laboratory Scientist
Careers then you have to acquire excellent skills and ability to work
under pressure.
The following are some of the areas where you can
specialize in clinical career which include:

Technology Specialist is responsible to conduct specialize routine check
in transfusion centers.
B. Cytotechnologist: A Cytotechnologist becomes
highly skillful to determine structure and function of cells. The trainee
also makes him competent to identify changes in cellular activity to detect
cancer and other diseases in the early stage
C. Histotechnician / Histotechnologist: Histological technicians and technologists
are trained to prepare slides of body tissue which examine by pathologists
and scientists using microscope.
D. Medical Laboratory Technician: A Medical Lab Technician (MLT) is to
perform clinical laboratory tests on blood, tissue and body fluids. The
results are then submitted to the physician or pathologist for diagnosis
of diseases. Often Medical Laboratory Technicians perform job under the
direct advice of medical technologists.
E. Medical Technologist: Medical technologists also known as Clinical
Laboratory Scientists, perform research and analyze human blood, tissues,
and body fluids. They also administer many types of medical laboratory
tests applying a variety type of precision instruments.
F. Phlebotomist: A Phlebotomist imparts training to extract blood samples
and send the samples to clinical laboratories for medical tests. The blood
is extracted from people by venipuncture, skin puncture, or arterial collection.
The level of education for each specialization
varies from one another. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist programs vary
from certificate level to doctoral level. In case of other specialization
such as Blood Bank Technologists, Medical Technologists, Cytotechnologist
and Histotechnologists, completion of graduation is minimum at entry level.
The Medical Laboratory Technicians are needed an Associate degree at an
entry level. The phlebotomist should be certified for getting advantage
for the position.
